Padre Pio was an Italian priest who was known for his adoration of charity and love for the people around him. He bore the wounds of Christ, which is still something that cannot be explained. The memory of Padre Pio was beatified by Pope John Paul II at Mass on May 2nd, 1999. On June 16th, 2002 he was Canonized by Pope John Paul II. (excerpted from padrepio.com)

We have a wonderful story about the origin of our Saint Padre Pio design. Months ago, we had an artist from Spain reach out to us with a portfolio. We were blown away by his work and decided to  collaborate. Please read more about him below and follow him on Instagram if you would like to support him.

Juan Gregorio Hauciartz, is a young illustrator, born in 1992 in Lincoln, a small town in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

From an early age he nurtured his great passion for graphic arts, which is why he began to deepen and study driven by his family, at the same time that he participated in youth groups in the Church.

Together with his family in 2009 he made a trip-pilgrimage through Europe to see many cathedrals, relics and museums that had a great impact on his imagination.

When he finished his secondary studies, he began to study Fine Arts at the National University of La Plata. It was at this time that he had the opportunity to exhibit his works in individual and collective exhibitions.

His work stands out for the versatility of techniques, specializing in portraits with pointillism and oil painting.
