Saint Augustine resonates with every Christian and in some way’s every man when he says, “our hearts are restless until they rest in thee oh Lord”. As mortal men and women, we are so aware of the feeling of dissatisfaction and a perpetual change in our longings and fears. We can’t help but wonder what will satisfy when everything is passing away including ourselves. In answer to this Augustine reassures us that it is God who waits to quell all our longings and give us rest eternally.

"As a designer for Totally Catholic, I am continually looking for phrases that ring true, challenge, and inspire. The restless heart Tee definitely fits that mold in terms of its textual component. I wanted the graphic to be a visual aid to this message. I think having a real heart speaks to the mortality and restlessness that Saint Augustine is highlighting in his quote because it draws  viewers' minds to the very physical reality of their own heart and its constant and persistent  beating that keeps them alive, moving from one activity to the next."
